Guided Fly Fishing Trips
The secret is getting out: the Yosemite area has some of the finest fishing west of the Rockies. Four outstanding rivers and fisheries are within 15 miles of the lodge, and countless streams, lakes and other rivers are within an hour’s drive. Our ‘home’ river is the Tuolumne, with three forks providing varied conditions throughout the seasons. The Merced River, which flows through Yosemite Valley, is also a prime destination. Awaiting your fly are various species of trout including brook, rainbow and brown trout. Regardless of the catch, everyone will enjoy a day of Yosemite beauty and serenity well off the beaten path.

While specific trips are subject to change (both day to day and seasonally), our current offering is summarized below:

Our expert guides have the patience to teach beginners and the knowledge to guide seasoned veterans.

Novice fly fishermen are given an ideal introductory experience to understand this wonderful sport. Our guides will introduce you to the basics, including equipment, casting skills, reading water conditions and understanding trout behavior. Once introduced to the sport, we can help you quickly gain experience and confidence in subsequent outings.

Experienced fisherman will find our veteran guides extremely knowledgeable of local waters and conditions, enabling you to have the best day possible. We can craft outings to specific locations and waters, including high country lakes, remote rivers and seasonal streams with exceptional fisheries.

Our guided trips have limited capacity and should be reserved in advance. Please call our Recreation Department at (209) 379-2606 x140, email us, or send a Recreation Request.
