Make the most of the New Year falling on a weekend and join us at the Evergreen for a multi-day extended Roaring 20's style celebration.
Head back to the time of speakeasies, stills, gold rush and gangsters while enjoying all the modern day creature comforts of our lodge, as we feature a weekend-long, fun-filled combination of historically themed Yosemite recreation, 1920's casino gaming, live music, dancing, parties, decadent feasts and a dizzying array of in-house activities.
We will be celebrating the New Year by heading back to our roots in the Roaring 20's, with all of its innocence & debauchery. Days will include a variety of guided adventures, naturalist tours, Giant Sequoia snowshoe walks and waterfall hikes. Nights will feature gaming, mahjong, billiards, 1920's style Jazz, a featured dance troupe from MTV's 'Americas Best Dance Crew' and our NYE Speakeasy Celebration. Food will range from extravagant dinners to fireside s'mores. House-Infused martinis, champagne and custom 'ragtime' elixirs will flow throughout the weekend.
Our secluded setting in the forest allows for an intimate New Year's experience, and since we have no neighbors, our Sierra Speakeasy can go all night long (unless the Fuzz gives us the bums rush)! When you’re ready to retire, you just stroll back to your cozy cabin in the woods – no driving required!
There will also be plenty of unstructured time to enjoy the privacy of your cabin in the woods, play board games or read a book on a cozy couch by the roaring fireplace in the Recreation Center, catch bowl games in our classic tavern or sneak away for a full body massage. The weekend will provide the perfect mix of recreation, relaxation & indulgence.
You can enjoy your New Year's celebration with us in two ways:
- A la Carte – Book your cabin (two-night minimum), then pick and choose from the many dining, party and recreation options available.
- New Year's Package – Get the most value, fun and convenience from your visit by purchasing a two or three-night package, including New Year's Eve dinner & party, New Year's Day brunch, and much more.

Kick the celebration off right with a night of relaxation and merriment. Join us for a hearty dinner and then head to the tavern for great music and one (or more) of our legendary infused martinis. Or settle in at the Recreation Center for an evening of games, s'mores and a roaring fire.
Indulge in a lazy morning and a delicious hot breakfast, then get out and enjoy the day. Grab lunch to go and join us for one of our naturalist hikes, snowshoe trips or sightseeing tours. Tap into some of the Park's secret treasures and little known gems for a truly unique Yosemite experience that few get to see!

Arrive back at the lodge in time for an indulgent full-body massage in our massage cabana. Treatments include Evergreen's signature Swedish massage, deep tissue, reflexology and hot stone therapies (massage available throughout the week – reservations required).
Relaxed and refreshed, join us for a festive happy hour, dinner and evening activities, featuring music and casino gaming.
'Cotton Club' Casino Gaming
To warm up for New Year's Eve, Sunday night will feature a friendly game of chance. Upon check in you will receive your complimentary “dough” to be used at our gaming tables.
We'll be transforming our juice joint into the jazzy Prohibition-Era, Cotton Club. Complete with tables and dealers for our very own poker tournament. Duke Ellington, Dizzy Gillespie & Billie Holiday will be setting the mood to transport us to Harlem Nights. The winners of our poker tournament receive fun prizes, while everyone else gets another chance to win on Monday.
'Jazz Era' Dance Lessons
Come strut your stuff with us as you join our dance instructors and learn some new moves.
Join us for an hour long lesson (or more if the crowd is a live wire) on Sunday or Monday (or both!) to prepare your tail feathers for the big event with our live band.
Start the day with a hearty breakfast, then in the afternoon head out and explore the best of Yosemite on a guided Giant Sequoias snowshoe trip, a Yosemite Valley Naturalist Tour or another of our guided adventures.
Return to the lodge to join us for an exciting evening of gaming, dining, dancing and decadence as we ring in the New Year! This year’s party promises all the fun and more of past sold out Evergreen New Year’s gala events!
Sierra Speakeasy Feast & Celebration!
Check your email for the secret password and head to the mountains to gain admittance to our Sierra Speakeasy New Year's Celebration! Get dolled up, pack your glad rags and begin the celebration with a 'Great Gatsby' Feast in our dining room, where you can indulge in an array of tasty high brow dishes.
Then move into the Cotton Club Lounge for a stunning performance by our Guest Dance Troupe, who will perform the Charleston and the Lindy Hop, to name a few. Maybe you can join in a bit and shake your tail feathers with your newly gained dance moves from your lessons earlier in the day. Don’t miss the performance, as it's sure to be the Cat's Meow!
Now get ready to cut a rug yourself on the dance floor as the party really kicks into gear. We’ll be puttin' on the Ritz in our juice joint, so don't get left holding the bag. Pack your feathers, pearls, fedoras and zoot suits to dance the night away in our original 1921 tavern! Who knows, in these parts, you might see some gangters or gold rushers on the lam.
If you need a break from dancing, head out to our gaming tables. There you can join in on a game of black jack, poker or craps, mahjong or billiards. Don’t get pinched at our gaming tables. For a few clams you could be the Real McCoy, as we'll be awarding fun prizes to the high rollers!
The party will continue well after gaming and the midnight countdown! Enjoy the celebration to the fullest, then take a short stroll back to your cabin at the end of your night, whenever that may be.
Kid Zone
In addition to our adult-oriented festivities, we'll also have a place for younger party-goers to hang out. In nearby Tuolumne Hall, we’ll have a lightly supervised 'Kid Zone' complete with crafts, movies, s'mores and a kid-friendly midnight countdown. Note: babysitting service is not provided.
NYE Feast Details
Chef Aaron and his team will be creating a sumptuous 1920's style 'Great Gatsby' feast. Choose from a variety of taste tempting appetizer and dinner selections along with your choice of special 'holiday hooches'. Then finish your meal off with one of our classic decadent desserts.

After enjoying your first meal of the year, head out with one of our naturalists on a guided tour of the park. Or if you’re not feeling so adventurous, spend your day lounging at the lodge.
A massage in our peaceful massage cabana is the perfect way to kick off a day of relaxation. After your massage, our Recreation Center, complete with board games, library, comfy couches and blazing fireplace, will await your arrival. For those looking forward to some football, take a seat on a comfy couch in the tavern or Tuolumne Hall and cheer for your favorite team on the big screen as we air the day’s bowl games.
