Join us in the tavern as we welcome for the first time to the Evergreen, The Dig.
The Dig are a rock band from NYC. Their music, written by the bands’ three main songwriters, draws on influences from early rock and roll and rural folk and blues to new wave and modern rock bands. The Dig’s two singers Emile Mosseri and David Baldwin have been making music in various bands together since they were 11 years old. They met up with keyboardist/guitarist Erick Eiser while still in high school, and after writing music together throughout college they eventually moved to New York City and formed The Dig.
The Dig got their start in the lower east side of NYC in 2008, and spent their first summer handing out flyers on the street, slowly building up an audience one fan at a time. After 8 weeks of residencies at Pianos and a handful of support shows at Bowery Ballroom, they began to sell out shows on their own. The Dig have just finished recording their 2nd full length album, which will be released in the spring of 2012.

Join us in the tavern as we welcome Bay Area independent rock band, Farewell Typewriter.
The members of Farewell Typewriter met at a vacuum cleaner sales conference in Pierre, South Dakota years ago. After a few banana daiquiris at the Kings Inn, the boys started jamming on some ukuleles and cigar-box guitars that were in the hotel lobby. Lo and behold, the seeds of the band were planted.
Farewell Typewriter's songs are influenced by music that spans several genres, but contains several key elements: solid melodies, interesting arrangements and memorable sounds. Hopefully you'll find that these all seep through into the band's music.

Join us in the tavern as we welcome back to the Evergreen, Antioquia.
Birthed in Colombia and bred in the Bay Area, Oakland-based foursome Antioquia makes music that inspires raucous dancing and deep listening. With influences ranging from Mahavishnu Orchestra to AfroColombian songstress Toto La Mompasina, Antioquia’s primary mission is to unite humans in the healing act of dance.
Peppered with fits of improvisation, bouts of silliness and fiery percussion pieces performed amidst the crowd, an Antioquia set is high energy, captivating, and anything but predictable. That said, you can count on each show to bring the audience closer to the stage, and closer together.
