This time of year you can often feel like you have the entire Park to yourself, and the sparkle of glistening snow on Yosemite’s scenic wonders is nothing short of magical. You really do have to see it for yourself in order to appreciate it fully.
With our location at Yosemite’s doorstep, right off the Highway 120 West entrance to the Park, Evergreen is the ideal basecamp for exploring Yosemite’s iconic attractions.
Upon arrival, you can visit our Recreation Desk in the Guest Lounge for insider tips and free planning advice for your ideal romp through the Park, or leave the driving and the details to us on one of our professionally guided excursions. We cover the gambit from light sightseeing such as our Range of Light Yosemite Valley Tour to exceptional seasonal treasures like our Giant Sequoia Hike/Snowshoe and much more. Oh, and did you know you can take a Flight Tour over Yosemite? Yes, you can!

Our recipe for the best New Year’s celebration ever starts with a warm Evergreen welcome, a champagne toast, fabulous food, signature cocktails and late-night Tavern shenanigans with a live band!
We top it off with breathtaking Yosemite adventures, daily activities for all ages back at the lodge, including free fireside s’mores every night – with no hidden Resort Fees!

You’ll have a ball in Tuolumne Hall stocked with fun and games like Pool, Shuffleboard, Foosball, and a fun and colorful play zone suitable for both kids and kids-at-heart.
We also really love a round of forest disc golf on our nine hole course sprawled across the property or an invigorating walk on our nature hiking trail.
After some outdoor recreation, chill out by a warm fire in our cozy Recreation Lounge filled with comfy chairs and couches, games and books, plus our friendly Recreation Desk staff who just love to talk about all things Yosemite.
Even better, take your New Year to a whole new level with some playful relaxation in our Massage Cabanas nestled amongst towering Evergreens.

Given the grand nature of Evergreen Lodge, guests are often surprised to find out that it was created by two Bay Area dads who continue to operate the lodge in a way that they like to share with their own family and friends (while using business as a force for good).
That’s why you’ll find that your room reservation has what you need for a spectacular Yosemite adventure, with no hidden Resort Fees. From basics such as free parking and free Wi-Fi, to Pool Area access and Forest Disc Golf fun, to more robust delights like the Daily Activities organized by our onsite Recreation Team throughout our indoor and outdoor play areas, including everyone’s favorite – nightly fireside s’mores roasting!

2023/2024 New Year’s Eve
The fun begins with our December Recreation Calendar featuring daily activities for all ages, recommended Hikes & Tours, Massage Treatments, and there are plenty more surprises in store over New Year’s weekend.
Cozy up to a warm fire for guest favorites such as Beer Tasting, Bingo and Yosemite Trivia.
Then head over to our Tuolumne Hall game room for some pool, foosball, shuffleboard, or climb through our indoor tree house.
For outdoor fun, you’ll find plenty of games throughout our 20-acre forest property.
Giant Checkers and Connect Four, Bocce, Corn Hole, and Zip Lines abound.
Winter is an ideal time in Yosemite, when you can often feel as though you have the Park all to yourself. Yosemite’s scenery in glistening snow is positively magical.

Snowshoe & Trekking Pole Rentals are available at the Recreation Desk
Nature Trail: Try out our half-mile self-guided, fun and informative tour of our property. Trail sheets are available in the Recreation Center and at the Front Desk
Recreation Center Activities are available all day, and include games, puzzles, books, free internet, free trip planning advice, indoor and outdoor fireplace
Massage: After a full day of play in the great outdoors, enjoy an indulgent, full body massage treatment by one of our certified massage therapists. Day and evening massages available. Visit the Recreation Desk to reserve your treatment.
